Overview

ibex is looking for a Database Administrator who will be responsible for daily database maintenance, SQL Server/MySQL/Mongo/Redis development work for reporting, optimization of table structures, and database performance.

Responsibilities

  • Focused in the Database Administration and SQL development activities of both MySQL and SQL Server databases. Mongo or NoSQL knowledge will be considered extra skill helpful on certain occasions.
  • Support and maintenance of the existing database infrastructure.
  • Standby, on-call, and support of MySQL/SQL Server databases.
  • Ability to convince others of right course of action and to explain a point of view convincingly.
  • Good interpersonal skills, verbal communication skills, and able to communicate clearly.
  • Ability to write clear and concise documents, etc.
  • Identify and effectively respond to the diverse needs of the development department’s users.
  • Able to work reliably and responsibly with internal and external colleagues to achieve development and organizational goals as a member of a team.
  • Able to work alone and to reliably and responsibly achieve development and organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Must have 3 years BS degree in Computers or equivalent.
  • Proficient in database and development environment (Linux) as well as competence in MS Office Suite, Visio, MS Project.
  • Foresight, analysis and logic, systematic and orderly planning, attention to detail.
  • Experience and relevant knowledge in different development and database tools, techniques and environments in order to develop and deliver quality applications and documentation. Total experience 1-3 years with at least 1 years of current solid DBA experience.
  • Experience of working in n-Tier, Client Server and Database environment as well as experience with open source/Linux development and production environments.
  • Excellent logical analysis skills and problem-solving.
  • Attention to detail.
  • High levels of initiative.
  • Work independently, with a high degree of responsibility.
