Ibex is looking for a Network Engineer with intermediate-level expertise in resolving hardware and software platform issues within a complex, multi-layered network infrastructure.
Experienced in WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and LAN/WLAN technologies (DNS, IP addressing, QoS, Spanning Tree, Multicast), with hands-on expertise in Cisco Catalyst switches and Cisco ISR/ASR routers
Troubleshoot and provide Tier 1/2/3 support to diagnose and resolve escalated issues that may lead to service degradation or interruptions across the Data Center, Disaster Recovery (DR) site, regional hubs, and all branch locations
Knowledge of next-generation firewalls (multi-vendor: Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, FortiGate) and security products/practices including ACLs, firewalls, VPNs, etc.
Proficient in proactive network monitoring using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG across 1,000+ devices; solid understanding of NMS/Syslog monitoring, alerting, and escalation processes
Familiar with wireless access controllers and access points
Intermediate understanding of network system design principles, best practices, and standards
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver project-level presentations to business stakeholders
Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve complex technical issues
Capable of drafting and documenting network designs, configurations, and operational standards
Project experience implementing core infrastructure, networking, and cloud-based services for business teams or consumers
Skilled in configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, etc.)
Familiar with 24x7 operations and rotational NOC-based shift environments
Proactive monitoring of a 1,000+ device network using tools such as SolarWinds and PRTG; strong knowledge of NMS/Syslog monitoring, alerting, and escalation procedures
Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, Fortinet Wireless, SolarWinds, and other network management utilities
Expertise in routing, switching, and VPN troubleshooting, with a solid understanding of WAN and internet multi-homing architecture
Knowledge of wireless access controllers and access points
2–4 years of experience in a relevant networking role
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
CCNA certification is required; CCNP or equivalent (certified) is preferred
